Education and Industry thought leader Q&As – thank you for your insight in 2024! #FinnemoreFireside

We’ve been privileged to speak with even more edtech and industry thought leaders throughout 2024 as part of our #FinnemoreFireside chats, and the insight they continue to provide to us and our community is invaluable.

It’s great to speak with experts from across the sector, so thank you to Ben McGowan of Ted Wragg Trust and Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Specialist Simon Denham for sharing your insights on MIS procurement exercises and the best ways to help schools and MATs navigate procurement processes effectively.

Our chat with Richard Clutterbuck (then Headteacher within the Corinium Education Trust) is essential listening for everyone who owns or leads an edtech business; he highlights the importance of technological advancements and AI, user-friendly interfaces and effective support – thanks for the great advice.

We were delighted to welcome Pete Collison of Compass Education who talked to us about the ongoing challenges schools face such as teacher recruitment, budget constraints, and managing pupils with special educational needs, and how Compass addresses these through their MIS solution.

Group CEO of NetSupport and well-known face in the edtech sector Al Kingsley discussed with us the challenges and opportunities facing schools today, from the need for more flexible, personalised learning models to the crucial role of technology in education.

Simon Freeman, Managing Director of IRIS Education talked to us about their vision for the future, successful vendor partnerships, and their commitment to helping schools navigate technological shifts and budget constraints.

And finally, Naimish Gohil and Louise Raw from Team Satchel joined us to talk about their passion for making a difference in education and the strategic direction behind their move into the world of MIS.

Nick and I have thoroughly enjoyed making the series and already have some great sessions ready to go in 2025 – watch this space!

Have a great Christmas break 🎄

Sarah & Nick
